International Tourist March and Meeting IML

The march classified as a major event of Czech Tourist Club (KČT). March included into calendar KČT, IML and IVV.
March organized under the auspices of Headquarters of KČT and with assistance of the South Moravian KČT.
The event is held the Mayor of Brno-Bystrc,
JUDr. Tomáš Kratochvíl. The event is financially supported by the Municipality of Brno-Bystrc.

The organizers from Czech tourists Club, the Mapa Brno Department,
invite all friends of healthy motion to one of the biggest international
tourist meetings in the Czech Republic. Ramblings are taking place in
beautiful surroundings of Brno dam, the Fairytale of May and the Moravian
karst. Come to admire the beauty of Moravian nature together with hundreds of other tourists.
This is 30th year of the IML march in the Czech Republic.

For two days you can roam the northern surroundings of Brno.
And you will take a nice medal and a diploma.
Registration: The start and finish of the march: Community Centre (Cultural House) Odbojářská Street No. 2 in Brno-Bystrc, where the march organizing staff will be based for the duration of the event. Transportation from the main railway station (ČD) by tram No. 1 direction "Ečerova", price 25 CZK (for EU citizens over 65 years 12 Kč, over 70 years free). Get off at the stop Zoologická zahrada (ZOO). From there, go uphill about 600 m along Odbojářská Street.

Kudrna Goes Around Brno
Brno awakes in morning light, footsteps are drawing near,
backpacks filled with laughter, with faces bright and clear.
The trails wind through the meadows, through forests, vines and fields,
with Kudrna walking round the town, pure joy is what it yields.
On hilltops banners flutter, on flatlands songs take flight,
each hiker feels the spirit rise, the day is bold and bright.
The brooks are playing music, the breeze is keeping time,
Brno itself is cheering us, the sun is in its prime.
Though feet may ache and blisters sting,
a friend is there with water, to share and strengthen the ring.
Kudrna marches, singing along,
binding companions together strong.
For all who walk, the truth is plain to see:
this march around Brno is more than just the way — it is a jubilee!

Accommodation for participants of the march
we recommend a number of booking sites, hotel.cz, booking.com, hotels.com, you can contact the Tourist Information Centre TIC BRNO, which will recommend different types of accommodation.
We particularly recommend the website other tips, for example on camping in the vicinity of the dam.
We do not provide catering, you have to help yourself from your own stock. There are a large number of restaurants in Brno-Bystrc, the closest is
for example „Krčma Pod Lípou“, or
„Pizzeria la Corrida“. There are also several supermarkets nearby the starting point
